The Storm

The Storm

Psychotic skies wander in bewilderment
The Heavens sleep as forgotten shadows
Stars flicker as ghosts amidst the darkness
The moon angrily stirs the unsuspecting waters

God’s creation is all a swirl
Dusk now the twin of day
Evil sprouts amidst the cracking earth
Barren branches cry for a ray of hope

Evil minds have taken hostage the Master’s table
To human hands is forgotten the solemn prayer
Knees no longer bend in loving devotion
The storm has made ready its feeble quarry.

Thank you,
Joseph Pede
