Old Man

Old Man

Hey old man
Did you live your life
You know the old job is gone
You never spent too much time thinking about your future
But now you have nothing but time
The kids are gone, and
The wife has become a potted plant
Your journey never prepared you for this ending
The dog appears smarter than you
He eats and poops
While you bend and scoop
The back is slowly going too
Just like the memories that are getting harder to remember
Hey old man
Are you listening, or are you asleep again.

Thank you,
Joseph Pede
