Purgatory

Purgatory

Life bathes under the warmth of a heavenly glow
The clouds shrewdly form to quell the rays of sunlight
Eyes watch as the ecstasies of paradise clash alongside one another
Sounds of resistance reverberate in the hollow skies
Celestial music ceremoniously plays its warning concerto
The Maestro’s baton dances fervently among the twigs of nature
Frightened creatures seek the comfort of a safe harbor
Waters rage just as the intertwined masses of two passionate lovers
The inner kingdom swells with vibratory confusion
Apparitions dash to comfort the frail figures approaching death’s door
Purgatory is all that remains for those naively living

Thank you,
Joseph Pede
