The Night

The Night

Ah for a little light

For once again, upon is the night

Sunshine finds comfort in daily hibernation

The moon shines in its latest maddened formation

Stars flicker as if vanishing candles

Comets colour the sky as momentary vandals

Raccoons tippy- toe along roof tops

Wise old owls found haunting fashionable antique shops

Mother Nature for the most part is sound asleep

So too the minds of the unaware sheep

Rest serenely until the return of a new dawn

Perhaps reason will awake with an inquisitive yawn

Thank you,
Joseph Pede
