Our Times

Our Times

Humanity craves a little more intellectual sobriety

It requires more common-sense gluttony

Complexity at all corners has bewildered the mind

Simplicity a joy that has been lost in all the uncertainty

The young can no longer find happiness in their own time

Elders perplexed by the force of fraudulent virtuousness

Age old mysteries have become as marginalized lore

Science a whore now in the dominion of false prophets

Truth circumcised and saddled to fit the hour

Reason choked by the malignancy of a contemptuous evil

Nowhere that one looks are the impossibilities possible

All about us is a sea of desperation and sadness

Thank you,
Joseph Pede
