A Dream In My Pocket

A Dream In My Pocket

I have a dream in my pocket
A clinched hand guards its potential
Gently pulsating with my changing gait
Oblivious to the distressed surroundings

People pass not knowing of its existence
An aspiration void only of flesh
Lifeless is its form
Counterfeit only by its rogue philosophy

Its manifestation conditional on my daring
Wonder stalled by human fear
A dream filled with so many possibilities
A dream that I now share with you

Thank you,
Joseph Pede
