I Wish Upon a Star

I Wish Upon a Star

I wish to wish upon a star
But from which one shall I choose
The farthest effects only mystery
The shiniest perhaps too bright
The smallest too whimsical
The largest a gluttonous feast
All pirouetting amongst the heavens
Keeping amused the impatient gods
Guiding the guardian angels of old
Warming the lonely planets
Symphonic is their twinkle
Distracting all the planetary passer-byes
Sculpting pathways in the darkness
Creating visible form for all the wandering spirits
I wish upon a star
But for what do I wish
For one day I will be as one of them.

Thank you,
Joseph Pede
