Invictus - the process by which the ruling class conditions wounded soldiers to believe that the people who send them into harm’s way really care. The battlefield is an altar, and the warrior is a sacrifice – this is all one must know. 

War is a game in which there is a perceived victor, yet all, except the very few, are losers.

We blow into bagpipes to honor the fallen, while prince Harry has his bagpipe polished, as a young lady blows into it attempting to play revile in a Las Vegas hotel.

Let humanity be “et invictam” and the elite the “victis”, and then there will be no need for "invictus".
