The Poly-Titian

The Poly-Titian

Time has distressed the eternal canvas
Madmen have painted atop Titian’s tempera
The privileged few dominate the new Rinascimento
Binary has overtaken the enlightenment of poly

Solon’s desire quickly fading into the abyss
Nowhere left to run, nowhere left to hide
Orwellian magic cast by Dorian Gray’s master
The vinegared kaleidoscope of colors curdling atop the bristles

Politicians the consummate patrons of deceit
Forgers who sacrifice all to fool the gullible crowd
Fine art galleries razed by fraternity’s fanatics
Artistic genius erased by technology’s wizardry

Thank you,
Joseph Pede
