The Outcast

The Outcast

The outcast standing on the edge of humanity

Witness to the never-ending calamity

My mind contemplating all the lunacy

Mankind’s eyes the victims of na├»ve truancy

On the perimeter we are but a few

The masses content to be subjected to the propaganda stew

Succumbing to the fog has made everyone hazy

Death the victor when all become apathetic and lazy

Awaken all your senses

Time has been confused by too many tenses

Be as the one time inquisitive child

Then the world appeared gracefully wild

Thank you,
Joseph Pede
