The Devil is a Lost Brother

The Devil is a Lost Brother

Are you predisposed to do the Devil’s work

Does righting a wrong make you feel like a fucking jerk

Does diminishing a defeated foe produce a satisfying end

Does living a life of lies provide for an idyllic trend

The present requires for you to let go of your damaged morals

Pacifism must seek comfort in the realm of persistent quarrels

Truths prove injurious to a narrative whose portfolio includes a myriad of dialects

One must not acquiesce to a God who forbids you from being your own master architect

Have you come to believe in self-fulfilling prophecies

Disguised as predictive analytics offering unjustifiable hypotheses

Do you believe that the few amongst us have unlimited power

If this is your belief, then ask Nimrod if Babel was an unassailable tower

Our fear has made us surrender to an unwavering foe

Liberation will come when your lost faith is released from escrow

The Devil is a lost brother whose vengeance uses humanity as a pawn

Universal prayer will cause his treachery to be quickly withdrawn

Thank you,
Joseph Pede
