DEI is the best way to place leadership and vision into the hands of fools. Most of our city councillors and educational leaders are prime examples.
DEI: Diversity, Equity, and Ignition?
The Los Angeles fires don’t just highlight mismanagement—they expose the catastrophic folly of prioritizing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) over, you know, actual competence. Instead of staffing fire prevention teams and emergency management agencies with experts who could effectively manage disaster risks, city officials seemed more interested in checking off race and gender quotas. DEI policies, hailed as the cornerstone of progress, have left critical infrastructure in the hands of people chosen more for their identities than their abilities. This isn’t inclusivity—it’s ideological arson disguised as governance. DEI didn’t just drop the ball; it fumbled it straight into the flames.
Last night I drove my grandson to Bay and Queens Quay for a birthday party. To be a victim of criminally inept political idiots can be frustrating. As I drove further into downtown Toronto's belly the more the frustration set in. The roads have been dissected by concrete curbs, planters and those fucking bike lanes that no-one uses. Multiple lanes disappear into single lanes, road markings merge into nothingness and in some cases the markings are nothing more than some confused city worker's drunkenness.
While stopped in front of Mt Sinai Hospital I listened to an ambulance sound its siren for 5 minutes with traffic at a standstill. Nowhere was the only place for the ambulance to go. At the corner of Elm St was parked a 30 foot long flatbed truck completely blocking one entire lane of University Ave - parked at the corner of Mt Sinai for no apparent reason. A police officer, who could have been classified as a fucking idiot allowed the tow driver to block University Ave. for likely hours, yet people were dying, vehicles are consuming petrol and polluting the environment, and traffic chaos was setting in.
York St was a zoo. Drivers making left turns while vehicles parked in the right lane meant there was no place to go, so other vehicles got caught in the middle of intersections. Those are big fines now. All brought to you by the idiots we elected for Toronto City Hall. Bike lanes, what a joke.
Bay St which is now essentially a one lane road has a myriad of vehicles parked in no standing zones, and Queen Quay (best described as chopped liver) had a city truck parked in the single lane with the engine turned off. The bicycle lane was the only place to go, but the one and only cyclist screamed at me for trying to go east, when he was peddling west. The bike lane along Queens Quay is almost two full vehicle lanes. Who the fuck designs this shit. Torontonians need to start fining City councillors, having them charged and arrested for this criminal activity.
Driving home was a bigger challenge. Your only desire is to avoid roads that have become bicycle lanes for non-existent bicyclists. But they are everywhere - it's a nightmare. Someone forgot Toronto is an urban metropolis and vehicle manufacturing is one of our major industries and vehicles are our primary mode of transportation.
As for Mayor Olivia Chow, who said we need to raise taxes because the city is growing and we need more services (police, social services etc). What a fucking moron!!!!!!! When the city builds housing (Home and condos, commercial complexes etc) the geographic boundaries of the city do not change, but we do collect more property taxes, collect more in various fees and development charges, receive more in provincial/federal government transfers, receive a portion from additional HST and naturally the City gets to fine more and more people for the idiotic decisions councillors have made, and the fines keep growing. Then we have a budget Chief named Shelley Carroll, whom I believe has a grade 12 education. Let's entrust billions of dollars to fools. If we collect more because more people come into the city, and we build more, then why are we increasing taxes. We need to remove the DEI component of City Staff who fuck around all day and scream racism, equal rights and who knows what else instead of doing anything productive. Get rid of the Masonic sewer, nepotism, fraternity, incompetence and waste in the Public service and the City can reduce taxes by 25%.
Those who use DEI ideology to access societal inclusion should follow one simple rule. You are entitled to DEI if you defend this country. 85% of our military is made up of Caucasians, under 5% by Natives/Aboriginals and 10% of Blacks, Asians, Hispanics etc. You want DEI, go serve in the military and earn it, don't expect it. My parents as immigrants worked 3 jobs, 12-14 hour days, and had no social assistance of any kind. Their parents had no OHIP and when they died my parents and uncle had to pay for the hospital care. When they had enough money to buy a home, the Anglos would not sell them one because they were DPs, Whops or whatever. Immigrants today are diluting a great country - stop it.
It's time to get rid of DEI and the idiots who promote this bullshit. Those who complain and advocate for this nonsense should join the military. Go fight for your country instead of extracting wealth from it for no reason. I'm still wondering what happened to the efficiencies which were to come about via the City's amalgamation. I think that idea
