listen to the drumbeat
listen to the drumbeat
reverberating everywhere
a dirge accompanies a lonely bagpipe
despair fills the foggy air
souls are wandering to and fro
creatures of Mother Nature scurry about
trees rigored by fright
the time of the great fall nears
Satan’s children ready the slaughter
and prepare for their own everlasting doom
listen to the drumbeat
it is the human heart sounding the alarm
thank you,
joseph pede
