Shards of reality slice open the deception

Idealism suddenly exposed to the truth

Moral character subjected to life’s horrors

Social injustice a distortion of the illusion

Inequity weighing heavily on the scales

Chains once invisible start to clatter

Comatose to an uneasy consciousness

Eyes start gazing beyond the veil

Tranquility transforms to anxious rebellion

Anger forms as clashing clouds

Silence awakened by the rage.
