behold the “little flower”
windswept and disheveled
tormented by the elements
yet poised to become the jewel of the garden
held hostage by an itinerant honeybee
daunted by a determined rodent
brightened by the mid-day sun
yet poised to be a glowing shadow in the dark
as powerful as the mustard seed
but as gentle as a falling feather
as determined as the fairyfly
but as memorable as saint therese
thank you,
joseph pede
