the weight of sadness has fallen atop the world
neath it all is the rendered fat of humanity
remember when Springsteen told Mary not to weep
who cares that the young are dropping dead
the new born remain unborn
the old linger in loneliness among the shadows
murder heightened to 33 degrees
remember when Springsteen told Mary not to weep
better times, by and bye
yet it is Satan’ scorn that fuels Hell’s fires
lost souls continue to descend, and
his army of demons march in police uniforms
the weight of ignorance heavier than sizzling fat
the pain of treachery too deep
the Madonna’s bloody tears flow atop her cheeks
yet human hands are void of a handkerchief
the heavens are drowning in darkness
the rainbow ark has lost her covenant with Jesus
remember when Springsteen told Mary not to weep
thank you,
joseph pede
