Catholic churches in France are being targeted with arson attacks, vandalism, desecration of holy statues, and the destruction of the Eucharist. The attacks have been happening since the beginning of the year.
The Church of St. Sulpice in Paris, where the Da Vinci Code was filmed, was set on fire just after midday mass on Sunday, The Parisien reports . Firefighters and police said the blaze was an arson attack.
In February, a 19th century statue of the Virgin Mary was smashed at the St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Houilles. The statue was "completely pulverized," Father Francois-Laurent Heart said . "It is irreparable." The church reported three incidents in 10 days, with a cross also thrown on the floor by vandals.
+RS
At Saint-Alain Cathedral in Lavaur, statues and crosses were smashed and an altar cloth was burned in February. A statue of Christ is one of the cross-hairs of Jesus, who was dabbing, The Depeche reports . Two teenagers were later arrested on the damage.

Meanwhile, the Notre Dame des Enfants church in Nimes was looted and vandals used human excrement to draw a cross on the wall in February. Consecrated hosts of unleavened bread, which Catholics believe is the body of Jesus Christ, were found scattered outside with rubbish.

Also in February, eucharistic hosts were stolen and scattered around Notre-Dame church in Dijon, with Father Emmanuel Pic denouncing the attack on the "heart of the Catholic faith."
"Nothing of value has been broken, but it's the intention that's very shocking," he told Bien Public.
POLICE: 875 FRENCH CATHOLIC CHURCHES DESECRATED IN 2018 ALONE
Despite this trend, MSM refuses to entertain possibility of Notre Dame blaze being intentional
Feces smeared on walls, intentional fires and theft plague churches across France as police figures show 875 of the country’s 42,258 churches were vandalized in 2018.
As Infowars’ Paul Joseph Watson reported just hours before the Notre Dame Cathedral caught fire, “The number of anti-religious attacks against Jews and Christians in France continues to rise, while attacks against Muslims are at their lowest for 9 years.”
The church attacks have some politicians saying France’s Christian heritage being threatened by “militant secularists.”
“Every day, at least two churches are profaned,” Republican MP MP Valerie Boyer stated.
Meanwhile, according to Newsweek, some French officials say they “don’t know why” the churches have been targeted.
While the cause of the Notre Dame inferno is still unknown, one hypothesis is Islamic arson, but MSM is stopping anyone who dares mention this from speaking out.
For example, Fox News’ Shepard Smith and Neil Cavuto both cut off guests who alluded to the possibility of the fire being intentional.
A TIME Magazine columnist, Christopher J. Hale, claimed a worker at the cathedral told him the blaze was purposely started.
The media is also covering up the celebration of the cathedral’s destruction on social media, claiming Infowars lied about people reacting with smiley face emojis despite video evidence.
Will we ever get to the bottom of the tragic destruction of the 800-year-old historic site, or will political correctness stop a real investigation from taking place?
Although Islamic terrorism and threats against Christians are on the rise in Europe, the MSM appears ready to censor any opinions that the fire at Notre Dame may have been a terror attack.

A 41-year-old Pakistani migrant will face trial after vandalising the Saint-Denis Basilica, the home of the tombs of many French Kings including Charles Martel.
The Pakistani origin male, who had arrived in France only two months ago, will stand trial in Bobigny next month, accused of causing serious damage to the main organ of the basilica as well as smashing stained glass windows in an apparent attack that took place in March, Le Parisienreports.
While in court for his initial hearing, the Pakistani, who does not speak any French, said through a translator: “I do not know how I am concerned with this case.”

When asked if he would like time to prepare his defence, he told the court he did not understand the French justice system.
According to the court, the man had already been accused of vandalism of property in February and that his DNA had been found in the basilica by investigators which led to his arrest.
The migrant claimed ignorance of the judicial process which forced the judge to question whether or not he was purposely trying to not understand what was occurring. As a result, the judge delayed the trial until May 10th and ordered a psychiatric evaluation of the Pakistani national.
When the incident occurred in March, the damage to the organ was said to be extensiveby Saadia Tamelikecht, head of the departmental unit of architecture and heritage of the heavily migrant-populated Seine-Saint-Denis suburbs.
The vandalism also came just over a year after the basilica was stormed by pro-migrant activists alongside illegal migrants to protest the French government’s reforms to asylum laws, with police having to forcibly remove them after around an hour of occupation.
Vandalism of churches across France has become a major issue, with nine churches across the country vandalised in just 11 days in February. Some of the damage had included thefts, while others featured grotesque acts such as the smearing of faeces on the walls of a church in Nîmes.
Just last month the second largest church in Paris was damaged by fire, which police have said was deliberately started. Dramatic images from the scene showed flames pouring out of a “massive” porch door and stained glass window, although fortunately the Paris Pompiers were able to put out the blaze before it spread to the rest of the building.
In the aftermath of the attack on the church, French right-wing leader Laurent Wauquiez hit out at the mainstream media for ignoring the story of church attacks in France, remarking that the amount of coverage the stories got was “tiny”, reports London’s The Times.
On Monday, another tragedy struck one of France’s most iconic cathedrals as the roof of the Notre-Dame cathedral caught fire, causing widespread damage to the building.
Firefighters said the blaze had been successfully extinguished Tuesday morning, but images coming from Paris show the extent of damage to the historic fabric of the building — both the total destruction of the Medieval wooden roof, but also the collapse of parts of the stone vaulted ceiling.
Jerusalem’s Al-Aqsa Mosque struck by fire on SAME night Notre Dame burns

Shocking footage from the scene in Jerusalem’s old town shows smoke billowing from the roof of the Marwani Prayer Hall, also known as Solomon's Stables. The Palestine News Agency reported: “The fire broke out in the guard's room outside the roof of the Marwani Prayer Room and the fire brigade of the Islamic Waqf handled the matter successfully.” Solomon’s Stables is at the bottom of the stairs, which lead down from the Al-Aqsa Mosque, which has the capacity to hold 5,000 people.
The historic room is thought to have been built by King Herod, who is said to have been the king of Judea when Jesus was born.
The mosque was built on top of the Temple Mount, known as Haram esh-Sharif in Islam, and also contains the Dome of the Rock.
Monday’s fire was contained quickly, and no injuries or damage was reported to the 2000-year-old holy worship site. The blaze came on the same night one of Europe’s most famous Christian sites burned in Paris, with the spire collapsing in to the abyss of flames.

But many valuable art works were saved after more than 400 firemen worked to contain the blaze, finally quelling it 14 hours after it began.
As the city and the country grieved for a potent national symbol, billionaires, companies and local authorities have been quick to offer donations.
And French President Emmanuel Macron has pledged to rebuild the fire-devastated Notre-Dame de Paris cathedral, saying he hoped the work would be done in five years and the French people would pull together to repair their national symbol.
Mr Macron devoted a brief prime-time televised address to Monday's catastrophic blaze in the heart of the capital.

He said: “We will rebuild Notre-Dame even more beautifully and I want it to be completed in five years, we can do it.
"It is up to us to convert this disaster into an opportunity to come together, having deeply reflected on what we have been and what we have to be and become better than we are. It is up to us to find the thread of our national project."
Speaking after the mosque fire, President Mahmoud Abbas' office expressed its “deep regret' over the devastating Notre Dame fire, according to the Palestine News Agency.
It added: “The Presidency confirmed its solidarity and sympathy with our friends in France over this incident.”
The cause of the fire was thought to be an accident.
Sheikh Azzam al-Khatib, director general of the Jerusalem Waqf and Al-Aqsa Mosque Affairs Department, said it could have been started by children messing around in the area.
