The Financial “PONZI SCHEME” Behind School Classroom Size
Why do people get so excited about the insignificant changes being made to classroom size? Apart from the technological advances that will take place in education over the next decade, we fail to comprehend what technology and artificial intelligence will do to the most important component of the educational cartel. Not teachers, but rather the MONEY component.
It was never about classroom size. It was about creating an army of teachers who could feed the Ontario Teachers Pension Plan with capital.
The greater the amount of teachers the greater the nest egg for the OTPP. Taxpayers contribute approximately 10-12%% of the teacher’s overall income into the OTPP. In conjunction with the teacher’s own contribution via payroll deduction, the combined amount is then invested in what is Canada’s largest single-profession pension plan. The OTPP is a defined benefit pension plan and invests assets on behalf of 327,000 retired and working teachers.
The pension plan is jointly sponsored by the Ontario government, through the Minister of Education, and the executive of the Ontario Teachers' Federation (OTF). The OTF represents teachers, while the government represents employers.
The OTF and the government are equally responsible for ensuring the pension plan has enough money to meet its long-term pension obligations. In addition, they appoint experienced, professional experts to the pension plan's Board.
In other words, teachers are used as pawns in what is Canada largest PONZI SCHEME, and students think it’s about education and classroom size. The teaching profession is a cesspool of nepotism, a membership whose qualifications are rooted in useless qualifications, and most of whom are unqualified to teach grade 5 math or any science beyond that same grade level.
With technology and artificial intelligence poised to overthrow the teaching profession, and many other professions, the OTPP will become unsustainable, and will, at some point become a financially challenged institution. The impending death of FIAT money is a completely separate conversation, for it will impact the entire world.
