what is life
what is life
but a journey to netherworld
contemplation of yesterdays’ nostalgia
magistrating over the moment
reflecting upon the tomorrows
routinely animating from slumber
abandoning dreams’ wonderments
encoding the awakening to habit
acquiescing essence to triviality
leaving chance to fate
forsaking ethos to order
sublimely relinquishing all to survival’s battle
awaiting the dawn to silence the whole
