I had the great opportunity to delve into the psyche of several combat veterans. They were my father, uncles and grandfather. They seldom talked about their war experiences but they lived them and experienced them everyday. They were also the kindest people I knew. They never exhibited an ounce of venom. Another person’s race, creed or colour never mattered to them, even if they themselves were the victims of overt racism. If someone needed a helping hand they would lend two.
They truly understood what malevolence in higher places could do to innocent young bodies and minds. They ate bugs to survive, sometimes human flesh was intermingled with that of a farm animal that had been blown to bits, they drank muddied water, wore uniforms housing every possible disease and stunk like skunks. They would march into combat fields never knowing if they would see a fellow soldier or family member again. They were drained of every emotion possible, driven only by fear and the desire to defeat death. They had no choice but to kill. I once asked my uncle and grandfather if they had killed a man in battle. At all times they became speechless, unable to answer the question with a simple yes or no. They could not understand why I was incapable of understanding their silence.
Some could not talk of war. If they started to talk, they would eventually silence themselves and soon thereafter a tear would flow from their eyes. One of my uncle's eyes were an amazing shade of blue. The unspeakable horror was truly unspeakable. The horror of the past lived in their minds and hearts, but not in the reality they wanted to build for their children. They never wanted their children to understand the cruelty one person could bestow upon another.
Based on averages my life is more than three quarters complete. I had the opportunity to witness the horror of war only within someone else's eyes, not in the battlefield. I hope to never witness war. Not for my sake, but for the sake of my children and grandchildren, and yours.
My heart breaks for the children of Palestine, because humanity has rendered them disposable. No life can be disposable, because creating and sustaining life takes so much more. I remember holding my still-born grandson for over an hour. His eyes were shut and his mouth was open. He was absolutely beautiful. I asked God why his journey was so quick, yet no answer arrived. Perhaps the answer has just arrived. If you’ve ever held a lifeless child in your arms you cannot condone what is happening to these Palestinian children. The Satanic jew is a veiled demon, remorseless and void of morality.
Thank you,
Joseph Pede
Footnote:
It has been reported that 39 Israeli soldiers have been killed and that Israeli bombs have destroyed innumerable Hamas tunnel systems. Gaza is 141 square miles. My dog could have located all the tunnel systems in one day. Israel has apparently killed many Hamas terrorists - who the fuck are they? This entire mass murder of Palestinians is about Israel destroying Gaza. There are no tunnels, there are no hostages, 1,400 Israelis were not killed by Hamas, and the ones that did die were killed by Israeli solders. It's all an illusion to expand the borders of Israel for reasons already provided. No other Arab state is intervening in the conflict because they have all agreed to stand down. Syria and Lebanon have both been bombed by the USA and Israel, yet no retaliation!
