A data centre does not actively “collect” data. It is passive storage and computing infrastructure. It only receives data that users, devices, applications, or other systems intentionally "send" to it. The more we use technology the more the data centre succumbs to its intake of human gluttony.
ChatGPT, like Grok, is an artificial intelligence (AI) language model that can understand and generate human-like text responses from the data it has stored. It works as an interactive chatbot that can answer questions, hold conversations, write content, explain concepts, help with tasks, and more.
The DILEMMA: How will the data retrieved by the data centre be manipulated, censored, stored, edited, excluded and controlled by those who control the data centre. A.I. tells you the Technocrats do not or will not in any way manipulate the data. Unfortunately, unfettered, uncontrolled and illegal access to your privacy will allow A.I., or A.G.I., to re-wire your mind and impact the neurological framework of your brain - it will impact your past, your future, how and what you think and act, the perception of who and what you are, and it will ultimately attack your free will and consciousness. Digital Lobotomizations and the Mandela Effect will impact our future. Are you OK with that? Will it be progressive change for humanity or an existential threat? Humans will come to react and think in only one fashion. Complexity will give way to redundancy.
How Data is "SENT" to a "Data Centre" is summarized below:
Human Input - People generate data whenever they upload files (photos, documents, videos), send messages, use apps or websites, create accounts or fill out forms, stream content or play online games. This information travels through the internet to servers housed in data centres.
From Devices (IoT and Sensors) - Many data centres receive continuous streams of data from smartphones, smart home devices (thermostats, cameras), wearable devices (smartwatches), vehicles, and industrial sensors. These devices automatically send data to cloud services hosted in data centres.
From Other Servers or Services - Systems constantly exchange data with each other. For example, banks send transaction data to cloud services. Websites sync with content delivery networks (CDNs). Companies back up data from office servers to cloud providers. This movement is often automated.
From APIs and Software Integrations - Applications request or send data via APIs (Application Programming Interfaces), such as a weather app retrieves live weather data from a server in a data centre via an API.
From Enterprise Systems - Businesses push large amounts of data into data centres via customer databases, sales logs, inventory records, machine learning training data, and security camera footage. This is often done through dedicated network connections (VPNs, fiber links).
From Automated Web Processes - Some data centres receive information scraped or collected by web crawlers, monitoring systems and search engine bots. These systems gather publicly available data and store it on servers.
From Backups and Replication - Data centres share information with each other via cloud backups, mirror servers and disaster recovery sites. This ensures reliability and redundancy.
FYI - The largest cloud storage companies are Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud (GCP), Alibaba Cloud and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
Listen to what Elon Musk has to say:
ELON MUSK: "Grok 5 will be the largest model, a 6 trillion parameter model, whereas Grok 3 and 4 are based on a 3 trillion parameter model. Moreover, the 6 trillion parameters will have a much higher intelligence density per gigabyte. Its really going to feel Sentient."
