grateful dead

grateful dead

cauldrons boil on the midnight stage
a coven forms beneath the Artemis moon
broomsticks rock beside the vibrating amps
black cats occupy the front row seats

haunting screams amuse the Grateful Dead
howls and nightmarish haunts accompany the band
a witch's brew inebriates the crowd
ciphering chords subdue the million minds

the drummer bangs on skull and bone
electrical vibrations heighten the confusion
grimoire hidden in each selected strum
veiled spells smash the naive mind

thank you,

joseph pede
