Re-visiting the Garden of Eden
With Super-intelligence securing the Technological Singularity, the question remains, what will happen to humanity’s role in creation? For all known millennia humans worked, strived to achieve their goals, built a family, created wealth, and through all these pursuits life had meaning and purpose.
Have you ever thought of when work became a preoccupation for Humankind.
Before the Fall of Man, “The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.” Adam was assigned work before sin entered the world. Work was fulfilling, purposeful, and part of God’s original design.
After the Fall of Man, God “Cursed…the ground because of Adam and Eve; through painful toil they will eat food from it all the days of their life... By the sweat of their brow they will eat their food…” After Adam and Eve sinned, work became hard, frustrating, and burdensome, not as a punishment for work itself, but as part of the broader consequences of the Fall.
But what were the broader consequences, a) spiritual separation and a broken relationship with God, b) sin and moral corruption, c) physical death, as mortality entered the human experience, d) suffering and toil, inclusive of pain in work, childbirth, and daily life, e) creation became cursed, marred by decay and frustration and f) the rise of broken relationships, both between humans and between humans and creation.
I have mentioned many times that the Matrix, A.I. and Super Intelligence are all subsets of Satan. Satan seeks to give back to Humankind what God took away. Satan may achieve much of his goal but Satan can never provide humanity purpose. For purpose is a subset of the eternal soul.
When all work, money and freedom disappears, what purpose will remain for humans. Humans will experience a life-long incubation period of nothingness. It would be wonderful to assume that Humankind will become spiritually enlightened, fascinated by philosophy and poetry, more closely connected to their divinity, but unfortunately they will become as the Eloi, void of consciousness, awareness and purpose.
Caution, we are approaching a “Virtual Garden of Eden”.
Thank you,
Joseph Pede
