karmic debt
the transgressions of Man are many
kings and queens have quarried a massive karmic debt
empire hungers for Creation's greatest prize
that of human flesh
the grail too seeks the elixir of life
to quench the gullet with the frothing blood of fallen warriors
demons have cunningly inspired the human hand
forging weapons of death in the cellars of hell
the blacksmiths have found no time to rest
they fear the intervention of angels in times of idleness
the sages have inspired but taught very little
crows remain the criers and scribes of history
etching mystical runes atop the crumbling bones
the gospels of sacrifice and conquest find no end
collective sin continues to fill the pages of history
validating that Man remains the nemesis of Man
a fiery storm will one day appear
the scarred warrior souls of ancient times will return
they will walk among the living and the dead
warning that empire's battle is lost before it begins
