Guns - There is a simple solution
When our political leaders speak of gun violence, their most identifiable solutions include more policing, enhanced border security, monitoring gang activity or legislating a complete ban on guns. They rarely mention the rights of law-abiding gun owners and enthusiasts.
We chip our pets, in some cases we chip many of our valuables and modes of vehicle transportation, soon we will be placing chip implants in human beings, so why can’t gun manufacturers place detection chips in guns and serialize the bullets? The gun must be designed in such a manner that if someone removes the chip, the gun would become inoperable.
If the gun is stolen the chip can be programmed to change the status of the gun - legal to stolen.
If the gun is stolen the chip can be programmed to change the status of the gun - legal to stolen.
Chips that can be detected with radar-type technology would make gun surveillance much easier for border agents and police authorities. Authorities would know exactly who has the gun, and where it is located. Is this not a simple solution?
The solution requires legislation and a minimal investment in technology. The legislation would require international gun manufacturers to imbed chip-detection devices in specific areas of the guns they manufacture, and serialize the bullets - the bullets are what kill.
My hunch is that these easy solutions would pre-empt global Gladio events, prevent scientific organizations from covertly testing prison populations for economic gain, stagnating private investment in penal systems, and would lessen the incarceration of specific ethnic groups. After all modern prisons are nothing more than an updated system of slavery - the inmate makes a great guinea pig.
The mistake we make is in trusting our politicians. That would make us Machiavellian fools.
