poem - i was born a king

when you cross a floor, you abandon the cross, you separate yourself from your higher self, you become a king with no kingdom - seeking the heaven you abandoned with your final breath

i was born a king

i was born a king
you were born a pauper
i have unlimited wealth
unlimited access
you are stuck in a rut
i am not responsible for you
you bring me no joy
yet you do my bidding
I am only obligated to humour you
insure that you do not ascend
that you do not become a threat
or acquire any advantage over me
you cannot come to know my secrets
privilege is not something to be shared
it is christened and harvested
acquired from Heaven
stolen on Earth
i have no need of God
yet I fear Him
you only have God
yet you have abandoned Him
that is my greatest advantage
that is what renders you the fool
your soul is parched
knowing your thirst could be easily quenched
you choose not to drink
you are a sucker

thank you,
joseph pede
