an idea or ideology
perhaps you and your peers have sought fraternity
what inspired you
was it your mind playing tricks
perhaps fake news
porn
the promise of money
revenge
hate
or just plain ignorance
were you searching in all the wrong places
it's landed you in the middle of a quagmire
how do you get out
when you don't know how you got in
the exit is nowhere near
funny how the door just magically appeared when you entered
or was it something even darker
evil can be enticing
it rewards everything that hurts
signs everything in blood
it hides the key
it hides the door
it hides the brighter side of life
it shatters love
