Associate EU Membership
Big question - will becoming an Associate Member of the EU allow the Canadian dollar to attain parity with the EURO. While this relationship may create a stronger and more resilient Canadian dollar, it would likely collapse uncompetitive and uneconomic trade with the USA, making Canada necessarily more dependent of a failing European economy - one that is centred around investment in the most corrupt country in Europe, namely Ukraine, and their pursuit of war with Russia.
We have no financial accountability from the Liberal government now, will the predicament only grow. Non-European immigration flowing into Canada could pose a major problem, as well as Canada becoming a more prominent and strategic hub for global drug and criminal cartels.
Europe's economy and security are heavily influenced by criminal and drug cartels. Europol and the European Union report that illicit drug markets and transnational organized crime play a major role in shaping financial flows, legal business infiltration, and public sector corruption. Many of these organizations are spear-headed by the European aristocracy.
I have nothing against the EU, as my entire family and I are both Canadian and EU citizens, but the EU is not the America we have been allied with, or friends with, for centuries. It's a different kettle of fish. The Americans will have our back militarily, the EU poses a question mark.
Thank you,
Joseph Pede
